"NIIMA "Progress" took part in 27th international exhibition "ExpoElectronics"

The exhibition lasted three days and showed great interest from government officials, experts and developers. At the collective stands of "Element" Companies Group, Robotics Consortium and "ENEL" Company, "NIIMA "Progress" demonstrated modules and microcircuits, PRO-GEO high-precision geodetic complex and a local radio navigation system. Colleagues worked at the stands, consulted guests, held negotiations and spoke in the business program.

During the first hours of the exhibition, the exposition of "NIIMA "Progress" at the "Element" Companies Group stand was inspected by Vasiliy Shpak, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Yuri Plyasunov, Director of Radio-Electronic Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

    

On the second day, the trend session "Industry 4.0: robotics and automation" was held, where Vladimir Karapetyants, Technical Director of "NIIMA "Progress", presented a report on the topic "Plans for development of promising 1st and 2nd level electronic component base for robotics". He spoke on plans for development of electronic component base for robotics and emphasized the importance of reducing cost of production for competitiveness, and among problems of the industry, he highlighted unstable supplies, a high share of imports and a the need for cooperation, proposing to strengthen support measures and cooperation.
